The Empire State Development Corporation is moving its offices to Buffalo's Cobblestone District.

The state agency has signed a memorandum of agreement with Savarino Cos. and Avalon Development to set up offices at 95 Perry St., one block east of HSBC Arena, in what is now an idle industrial warehouse.

"This move emphasizes our commitment to join with developers and investors who are finding unique and creative ways to reuse some of the venerable, older properties in the city," ESDC Upstate Chairman Daniel C. Gundersen.

The state development agency is currently located in the Liberty Building at Main and Court Street. Renovation of the Cobblestone neighborhood site will begin this month with a spring 2008 completion goal.
